N.J. launches project to help prevent sewage from spewing into Jersey Shore waters
Aug 05, 2023
Gov. Phil Murphy and other New Jersey officials launched a project Monday they say will help prevent a section of the Jersey Shore from having sewage spewed into its waterways and better prepare the area for future storms.
The state is using $20 million in federal grant funding toward replacing a damaged and aging 3,000-foot sewer pipe, while also relocating a damaged pump station, at the Two Rivers Water Reclamation Authority in Monmouth Beach.
